In 2007, the UK market for single ply membranes exceeded 6,000,000m2 making it the preferred technology for roof waterproofing in new-build. The growth in refurbishment and private residential sectors identified in the CPD feature in the October 2007 issue of Construction Manager has also continued. Meanwhile, single ply roofing is being increasingly integrated with low and zero-carbon technologies. Project managers can avoid risk in design and installation by careful planning.
