Local firms' excellence shines through despite tough times

In one of the largest CIOB event outside London, more than 300 construction professionals and guests attended the Celebrating Construction in South Yorkshire Awards 2011 at the Cutlers' Hall in Sheffield. This year's awards promoted a range of different sectors essential to the delivery of innovative construction, from empowering communities through corporate social responsibility and investing in skills, to creating low carbon developments and being environmentally pro-active.
