Caterpillar adds skid-steer loaders to compact line. Last fall, Caterpillar launched its Compact Product line by announcing the first machines in its range of compact wheel loaders and mini-excavators, along with a line of Cat work tools designed specifically for these units. The company has now expanded the offering of its Compact Product line with the addition of six skid-steer models, ranging in rated operating capacity from 1,350 to 2,000 pounds.
