As part of its Maniscopic product line, Manitou North America offers two versions of its compact "rough-terrain truck" with a lift capacity of 5,000 pounds, lift height of 16 feet 2 inches, and maximum forward reach of 9 feet 7 inches. The open-cab MT 523 has a naturally aspirated, 58-horse-power Perkins engine, while the enclosed-cab MLT 523 MU is powered by a turbocharged, 63-horsepower Perkins and is operated by a "Mono Ultra" joystick. At a width of 71 inches and height of 79 inches, the Manitou compact telehandler has a 122-inch turning radius.
