Southwest Research Institute's crawler dozer operator training simulator is designed to provide a cost-effective, safe and efficient way to train new operators in a risk-free environment. The training simulator features real-world situations, site hazards, safety violations, equipment damage, budget-based scoring and replica machine controls. Southwest Research Institute said that use of the system enables operators to learn and practice techniques associated with various real- world tasks such as production dozing, stump removal and finishing a side slope.
