Hitachi introduces new compact excavator

Hitachi has expanded its range of Zaxis excavators with the introduction of a new model aimed at use in confined, urban or residential areas. Hitachi developed the ZX145W-3 in response to growing demand for short-tail excavators on road construction projects. Its tight turning radius is intended to allow pipe laying or working on roads without obstructing traffic. The integrated transmission, operational features and reinforced structure of the Zaxis-3 machines have been designed to offer improved performance as well as a high degree of comfort and safety while keeping running costs down.
