Liebherr's speedy crane

Liebherr will introduce the new 81K fast-erecting crane to the US market at CONEXPO-CON/ AGG 2011. The crane features an entirely new design to provide high levels of performance. Like the previous 71K model, it is designed for rapid deployment and versatility in a wide range of applications. The new Liebherr 81K is based on the successful 71K but many functions have been further developed and optimized functions. In particular, the 81K has improved load characteristics and can lift loads more than 25% higher at the end of its jib. The 81K is said by Liebherr to be the first crane in its class to operate only in the double-reeved mode, eliminating the time-consuming process of re-reeving.
