Safer lifting events to raise standards

Experts in the operation of aerial work platforms and cranes will be holding events at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011 to raise awareness of safety issues including the importance of adequate ground support. Representatives from the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), the Crane Certification Association of America (CCAA) and the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) will be on hand to answer questions with the help of live machine demonstrations and the latest in simulator technology. Dynamic demonstrations will show visitors how to assess ground conditions and take appropriate safety measures. The advice on the safe operation of aerial work platforms (AWPs) and cranes will be on offer at the Lift Safety Zone.
