Telematics offers opportunity for equipment distributors to provide additional services to equipment managers and their fleets. Those distributors who want to take advantage must have a strong product-support focus and the infrastructure to back it up. Most equipment managers will consider outsourcing certain maintenance functions. Successful providers must be able to perform the maintenance or repairs in a timely and efficient way, however, so the fleet remains at work.
