摘要

This paper is concerned with the wear characteristics of limestone filler blended white Portland cement paste and concretes with and without chrome oxide. The results indicate that the wear loss in limestone filler blended white Portland cement paste is very high, usually higher than 38 (cm~3/50 cm~2). The wear losses of limestone filler blended white Portland cement concretes range from 21.79 to 27.98 (cm~3/ 50 cm~2). However, replacement of the limestone filler in the blend by chrome oxide causes a significant decrease in wear loss. This sample has a value of wear loss of 14.83 cm~3/50 cm~2, which is 6.96 cm~3/50 cm~2 less than the value found for white Portland cement concrete without chrome oxide. The apparent correlation between wear loss and flexural strength of white Portland cement concrete observed in this study appears significant.
