Norwegian manufacturing production continued to fall in March by 0.6% (m-o-m), bringing the level 2.8% lower than a year ago. This drop, however, was considerably less than the one witnessed in February, despite new orders also falling by 28.9% (y-o-y) during the month.rnSentiment indicators, however, are continuing to improve. Indeed, the contraction is expected to ease in Q2, with the most intense period of the downturn occurring in Q1. Accordingly, GDP and consumption forecasts for 2009 appearto have stabilised this month, although data that confirm this remain thin on the ground.
