GDP growth in November accelerated by a stronger-than-expected 0.44% (m-o-m) while earlier gains recorded in September and October were revised upward. Activity was lifted by a 0.6% monthly rise in the goods-producing industries; wholesale trade and mining, oil and gas extraction accounted for around 60% of overall GDP growth. Industrial production rose by 0.5% (m-o-m), the same rate of increase as in October, but this was down a little from September's 0.6% gain, while manufacturing in November stalled completely.
