Brent and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) have continued on their easing bent, with WTI falling below the US$90 per barrel-mark on early October. The price for the US oil measure has been relatively muted, due in large part to the shale oil boom in North Dakota which has contributed to increased US supply. Brent, meanwhile, is feeling the push/pull effects of Chinese demand, hence the US$20 discrepancy between both measures.
