Higher Price Expectations West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures have jumped above US$105 per barrel as tensions with Israel and the US over Iran's nuclear enrichment program reach fever pitch. Meanwhile, Brent, the European oil benchmark, also surged on the back of geopolitical uncertainty, surpassing the US$120 level. In anticipation of US and EU sanctions on Iranian imports, Saudi Arabia has pledged to step up production of its crude.
