The final breakdown of the Q3 national accounts reported GDP growth of 0.9% (q-o-q) rather than a previously announced 1.0% expansion. Household consumption and gross fixed capital formation were downgraded to +0.4% (q-o-q) and -0.2%, respectively. Recent downbeat industrial, retail and international trade data suggest that the economy may have contracted in Q4. Following a downwardly-revised fall of 0.9% (m-o-m) in October, industrial production advanced by a modest +0.3% in November, despite a strong 11.3% rebound in oil and gas production.
