GDP expanded by 0.5% (q-o-q) in Q3 although it slowed in y-o-y terms, fuelling speculation that the central bank could scrap next year's planned interest rate hike amid a climate of deteriorating growth prospects. Private consumption grew by a modest 0.1% (q-o-q) while a 0.5% decline in gross fixed investment subtracted from activity.
