The outlook for the Swedish economy remains upbeat, with strong domestic demand - helped by low interest rates and an improving labour market - the main engine of growth. Indeed, retail sales quickened to a nearthree-year high of 5.1% (y-o-y) in March. However, industrial production unexpectedly shrank by 4.5% (y-o-y) in the same month, prompting our panel to slash its 2014 forecast to 2.6%.
