The central bank held its benchmark rate at a near record-low 1.5% in December but reiterated that it could tighten monetary policy as soon as March amid solid GDP growth. However, manufacturing production is struggling to regain traction and declined by 0.2% (m-o-m) in November, due to weakness in the food and drink sector. On balance, our panel expects the economy to expand by 2.1% this year.
