1. Growth momentum looks set to continue in Q2 after the economics minister suggested that GDP expanded by around 4% (y-o-y) in H1. Fear of contagion spreading from the Greek crisis remains a risk, though, since Spain still faces high debt and unemployment. However, its bold reform agenda and a clean-up of the banking system mean it is better prepared to face financial shocks. 2. Meanwhile, industrial production increased by 0.8% (m-o-m) in May, a sixth consecutive month of advance. Consumer prices moved into positive territory in June and jobless claims fell again in the same month.
