Swiss watch makers had a tough first half of the year as exports from the industry plunged by 16.1 % (y-o-y) in June, amid large declines in sales to major markets including Hong Kong and the US. Nevertheless, Swiss exports in chemicals and Pharmaceuticals have risen significantly and helped total exports to increase by 5.1% (y-o-y) between January and June.
