The latest business tendency survey reported falling production in Q2 compared to Q1, restrained by lesser activity among suppliers to the oil and gas sector. A more positive Q3 outlook reflects anticipation of higher domestic and external orders. Meanwhile, in June, Norway experienced its first trade deficit in almost 20 years as goods imports surged by 24.6% (y-o-y) and surpassed the 9.8% (y-o-y) increase in exports.
