Higher oil prices and a tightening labour market have bolstered economic activity and the 2018 GDP forecast of 2.3%, which marks the strongest expansion since 2013. Private consumption should be supported by rising real incomes and the tumbling jobless rate, while exports and construction should also sustain the upturn. Fiscal policy is to have a lesser impact after adding impetus over the past few years.
