Having been less bruised in the first half of the year than some observers had predicted, the government lifted its 2020 GDP forecast to -3.8% last month (0.5pp higherthan the consensus). Such an outcome will depend on how the virus threat can be contained, though, and whether the current restrictions - which have left most of the economy still open for business - can ward off a health care crisis.
