LEVELS OF REAL GDP - 2019 vs 2020,2021 AND 2022

The charts below show how quickly selected economies are forecast to restore their LEVELS of output to pre-pandemic levels on an annual basis. We take our latest Real GDP consensus forecasts for 2020 and 2021, as well as 2022 and, in some cases, 2023 forecasts collected in July from our panels of contributors. The base has been set at 2019=100.0 and the estimated levels thereafter derived from annual consensus forecasts. To ensure consistency, real, or inflation-adjusted, GDP data has been used.
