The Riksbank still expects to raise its main repo rate by the end of this year or in early 2020, despite fresh doubts over the resilience of the economy in the face of external-related shocks. GDP growth was negative in Q2, and the 2020 GDP outlook hasdipped fractionally this month. Meanwhile, CPI inflation slowed to 1.4% (y-o-y) in August, the lowest reading in two years. Such conditions could yet scupper policymakers' plans to adopt tighter monetary policy.
