The buoyant GDP upturn progressed with a rise of 0.7% (q-o-q) in Q2, after the Q1 figure was nudged up from 0.3% to 0.5%. Consumption and fixed investment both increased, while the production approach highlighted strong gains in manufacturing and services. High investment in the petroleum industry will support growth this year, while the Norwegian finance minister expects a similarly upbeat advance in 2020.
