ECONOMIC POLICY EVALUATION

In this month's special survey we asked our panellists for their qualitative evaluation of economic policy and policy-related issues. We show below and on page 28 the consensus of responses for each of the 12 industrialised countries (and the Euro zone) featured. The balance between current monetary policy (often, but not only, reflected in the level of interest rates) and fiscal policy (government spending less revenues) is assessed, as are panellists' views on the likely and desired direction of policy over the next 12 months. Readers should note that percentages may not all add up to 100%, because of rounding.
