Screwless 'no-tools-required' terminal block designed with dual alternate entry

BlockMaster Electronics (www.blockmaster.com) has developed the Series DGSB1D, a 4-way screwless insulation displacement terminal block built for flexibility in both design and field service applications. Featuring a dual alternate entry, the Series DGSBID terminal block provides 'no tools required' installation options. Stripped wire can be inserted into a poke-home position, or unstripped wire can be pushed down between vertical V-shaped tangs that displace the insulation and produce a low-resistance, gas-tight connection. Both methods allow for termination of four wires in about 5/8-inch of space. Typical applications include design of garage door openers, electronic ballasts, and thermostats, or for a variety of field uses where the devices can be a part of a technician's toolbox.
