Global Crossing will acquire a 50% interest in Level 3's trans-Atlantic fiber optic cable, expected to be complete in September. Global Crossing will operate two of the four fiber pairs on the cable. In turn, Level 3 will acquire capacity on Global Crossing's trans-Atlantic cable. Roseville Telephone Company of Roseville, Calif., last week added to its portfolio four new DSL packages aimed at business customers. The company, which has delivered DSL service since April 1999, now offers DSL at six different speeds.
