North-south trade cargo analysis

Recent economic reports continue to indicate that world trade growth is slowing. As in previous reports, the key word here is growth. The major economies - such as the US, European Union, Japan, and China - are still expanding, helping to keep ships reasonably full, only at a much reduced speed. Moreover, the OECD's most recent trade analysis, covering the month of June, showed smaller negative figures for the second month running in Canada, Germany, the UK and US, suggesting that a corner of sorts might have been turned. France and Japan showed a one-month reduction, leaving only Italy with increasing trading problems.
