Dragados Services Portuariaos y Logistica (DSPL), based in Spain, is increasing its slice of the international terminal-operating cake by taking out a 50% share in a Brazilian joint venture, to be called Terminal Santa Catarina (TESC), as Rob Ward reports. Spanish company Dragados Servicos Portuariaos y Logistica (DSPL) - part of the diversified ACS Group, which has investments in the Dominican Republic, Chile, China and Portugal, as well as Spain - is ready to spend at least BRL70 (USD32.3) million on the Terminal Santa Catarina (TESC) project at the southern Brazilian port of Sao Francisco do Sul (SFDS).
