It was 1968 when Dr Yung-Fa Chang started Evergreen with a single second-hand tween-deck cargo ship sailing within Asian waters. In less than 40 years, the Taiwanese carrier has become an accomplished player in the liner services sector and is currently the fourth largest container liner company in the world. Its containership fleet numbers over 120 vessels, aggregating roughly 360,000TEU in slot capacity. In addition, the group is active in terminal management/stevedoring services and container manufacturing. It also has a sizeable air freight and passenger arm.
