A newly compiled review of freighting costs demonstrates that dealing direct with ocean carriers, rather than through 3PLs, can provide shippers with the lowest rates, at least on the trade from Brazil to the UK. On the tradelane from the East Coast of South America (ECSA) to UK/Europe shippers can achieve lower oceanfreight rates and other charges by dealing directly with ocean carriers, rather than using third-party service suppliers. This is the unequivocal message from the latest freight costs survey conducted by CI.
