Heineken opens new south east US distribution centre

The beer-producing giant Heineken is adding to the large number of importers who have established distribution centres (DCs) at the US East Coast port of Savannah (GA). Heineken USA's so-called Demand Point facility, which becomes fully operational in early 2008, will initially handle the distribution of 7 million cases a year of Heineken and Amstel brand beverages, comprising 4,000 containers imported through Savannah from breweries in the Netherlands.
