FEFC hits shippers again

Member carriers of the Far Eastern Freight Conference intend to apply a congestion surcharge of USD145/TEU on all Asian cargo discharged in the UK after December 1,2007. The charge will be reviewed after 60 days, and adjusted as necessary afterwards. Other ports in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean are under review.
