New lines for St Petersburg

Two new feeder services between Germany and the Russian port of St Petersburg have been started. The first, deploying two vessels on a 5.5 day frequency, is provided by Holland Maas Shipping and Evergreen, and serves both Hamburg and Bremerhaven. The new owner of Holland Maas remains a mystery, but it is interesting to note that this is the carrier's first service going into the Baltic. Up to now, the short-sea specialist has mainly served the northern Europe, Iberia and Morocco market.
