The niche ocean carrier Europe West Indies Lines (EWL) has filed for bankruptcy. Until July this year, EWL operated the weekly 'Mainliner' service between northern Europe, the western Mediterranean, Caribbean and North, Central and South America, deploying six fully cellular vessels.
