APL and Hanjin have enhanced their service offering in the intra-Asia trades by launching a feeder service called Southern Vietnam Express Service (SVX) between Vietnam, Taiwan and Singapore. Each of the carriers have deployed 1 × 700TEU vessel in the new link, and the port rotation is: Ho Chi Minh City, Kaohsi-ung, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore and back to Ho Chi Minh City. The SVX service is providing two departures a week from Ho Chi Minh City and complement APL's three existing weekly feeder services from Vietnam. The enhanced service offering is claimed to provide shippers with some of the fastest transit times in the transpacific, via transhipment, to the west and east coasts of the US, according to APL.
