EWS returns to Thamesport

EWS has returned to Thamesport after an absence of 18 months. The company has introduced a rail service to Daventry which runs five times a week, and is capably of carrying high-cube containers. Last year the port handled 50,000 containers by rail, which is understood to be a small increase over 2006, and represents a modal split of about 18%.
