Geodis shows positive figures

Fast-expanding Geodis is still suffering from growing pains. According to provisional accounts just published, the Paris-based logistics agent's revenue in 2007 increased by 26.4%, up to EUR4,782.1 (USD7.030) million. But, without TNT Freight Management (Wilson), which was acquired at the beginning of 2007, the growth would only have been 5.4%. Operating profit grew by 15.3%, up to EUR122.7 (USD180) million. However, this produced a below par return on sales of 2.6%, compared to 2.8% in 2006.
