The EU customs challenge

A not so-quiet revolution started last year for freight and logistics operators working within the EU. Brussels began introducing a raft of changes to customs documentation in an attempt to create a simpler and paperless environment for customs and trade throughout the Union. These changes represent a sea change in customs operations, both in the UK and Europe, and they will have a significant impact on many aspects of international and intra-Union trade in the years to come.
