Since its formation in 1892, the Jacksonville (FL)-headquartered ocean carrier Crowley Maritime Corporatioan has diversified considerably to encompass a wide range of services. But, in other waays, it has changed little over the years. Between them, Crowley's liner and logistics divisions continue to focus on shipping containerised and many other types of cargo between the US and the Caribbean/Central America. These divisions are complemented by other services, including ocean towing, ship assist and escort, naval architecture, ship management, bulk petroleum (tanker) transportation, fuel sales and distribution in Alaska. The company also has a project management division.
