Hamburg Sud and CCL tighten strings

Following its acquisition of Costa Container Lines (CCL), Hamburg Sud has consolidated and streamlined several inter-Americas and East Coast South America (ECSA)/Mediterranean services operated by the two carriers. Two new joint weekly Hamburg Sud/CCL operations, incorporating a total of five slings launched in March 2008, provide more comprehensive port coverage and improved transit times, with little change in capacity on either of the tradelanes.
