Rival technology providers GT Nexus and INTTRA have reported progress with the development of their e-invoicing capabilities on their respective trade portals.rnCalifornian-based GT Nexus, for instance, has announced a partnership with banking group Citi to provide an electronic invoice presentment and payment (EIPP) solution to the shipping industry.rnThe collaboration will leverage Citi's existing electronic invoice settlement expertise, currently offered to the air freight industry, with the technology of the GT Nexus trade and logistics portal. The solution will provide ocean carriers and their customers with a fully electronic means to present and pay ocean freight invoices.rnGreg Kefer, director of corporate marketing at GT Nexus, told 67 that they were piloting the new service with freight forwarders and envisaged rolling it out to shippers in due course.
