The global economic recession and subsequent downturn in trade led to Textainer Group Holdings posting a near 20% slide in total revenue in the first six months of 2009.rnTurnover of USD114 million compared with almost USD 142 million in the corresponding period of 2008.rnThe world's premier lessor of marine container equipment attributed the fall mainly to a significant reduction in its trading (container sales) division where revenue slid almost 85%, plummeting from USD24.1 million in H1 08 to just USD3.7 million this year.
