The CKYK alliance of COSCON, K Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin Shipping is joining forces with Evergreen to form a joint operation on the northern Europe/US east coast trade The new arrangement was scheduled to come into force in late September.rnThe five carriers believe that their new co-ordinated sailing and slot-sharing deal will help address the overcapacity issue by removing some excess tonnage. They also see the move as helping them improve their overall service offerings to their customers.
