Ocean carriers' schedule reliability improved significantly in Q2 09.rnAccording to Drewry Shipping Consultant's latest Container Shipper Insight report, 69% of all the vessels monitored in the period arrived on schedule or the day before.rnThis compares with just 60% in Q1 09. Moreover,rnthe average deviation time of 0.8 days was the first below one day. Drilling down into the data in more detail, the improvement from Asia to Europe in isolation climbed from 68% to 73%, with an average deviation time of just 0.6 days. In the transpacific, the change was from 54% to 65%, with an average deviation time of 0.6 days.
