Earlier this month I spent some time hunting the internet for a book, An Introduction to Economics by an academic called Birmingham.rnI am not really surprised that I did not find it on Amazon or even Google because it was published some 50 years ago. This text was supremely important to my education as I was advised to read it before starting my studies in economics at London University.rnI will never forget the lessons it taught me. It described how supply and demand works. When supply goes up or demand decreases - prices go down; demand goes up, supply goes down - prices rise.
