Benelux ports help carriers

Antwerp, Rotterdam and Zee-brugge have come to the rescue of ocean carriers by either reducing or freezing their port dues for 2010.rnAntwerp and Zeebrugge have frozen their charges, whilst Rotterdam went a stage further by increasing its port dues by 2%, but then offering an immediate 7% discount from January 1, 2010.rnIt appears that each port is desperately keen to protect its market share, so the only winners will be their ocean carrier customers.
