All the tradelanes analysed this month continued to show modest growth in containerised tonnes in Q4 10 versus Q4 09.rnBased upon the evidence of trade data available to date, relative to a base year of 2006, MDS Transmodal's (MDS T) global index of loaded TEU for Q4 10 showed a seasonally adjusted uplift to 121.9 million TEU and a forecast of 137.9 million TEU for Q111 (see table). The annual growth for 2010 globally is estimated to have reached 16% with a further 9% forecast for 2011.
